I love working out, so I always have motivation to go to the gym or go for a ride, but today this unknown feeling came over me at work...dreading going for a bike ride. What?! I love my bike! I love getting away from town and cruisin', where was my motivation?
It was kind of a long day at work and that was causing me to get a little tired, so the thought of coming home and laying on the couch started to sound more and more appealing. But it was a beautiful day here in Bellingham, sunny skies, probably about 56 degrees, couldn't be better for a bike ride.
When I got home I was going back and forth between a walk and a ride. I finally put on my bike shorts (yes, its bike shorts weather!), helmet and shoes and left the house. It didn't take me long to get into the rhythm. I ended up doing a 16 mile loop in an hour. I felt so much better when I got home and much more awake and refreshed. Startin' off the weekend on a positive note!
I am still a little disturbed how unmotivated I was earlier. Do you think I have been over working it? Maybe I need a workout buddy to help motivate me. Regardless of the lack of motivation I experienced earlier, I am very motivated to go for a run and a swim tomorrow.
Off to drink some wine and eat some fish tacos!
