Hi! Wow, it has been awhile since I last blogged, sorry! I had a GREAT weekend with the family - it was my Mom's birthday and my sister, dad and I planned a surprise party for her. She has NO clue whatsoever, so that made it even more awesome. My little sister Lindsay even flew in from Madison, WI for the party - that was a surprise to me! This was the first party I've co-hosted, so I was fairly stressed out getting things ready, but I definitely calmed down once we shouted, "SURPRISE!" Have you ever hosted a party before? It is tough work and EXPENSIVE!

The party was a success! Since I was down at my Parent's house for the weekend, I didn't get in my normal weekend workouts. That is TOTALLY okay because I could feel my body wanting a rest. I still ran a 5K on Friday before I left, ran walked 2 miles Saturday morning, then logged 3.5 miles Sunday. Although it isn't that much, it is what I need to feel good and happy. If I don't do anything physical in a day I get a little cranky.
Today I swam 1,200 yards - felt really good, but the pool was SO busy! There were 4 people in my lane! It is never this busy at the Y...oh well, I don't mind, still got my workout in. After the swim I tried to run, but only made it 2 miles - I was hurting. I decided to not push it and get in a good run tomorrow. So I pumped some iron and went home.
