In the spirit of the OktoberFast challenge - I'm going to share about a fall like activity I did this week. I went to an apple festival in Everson, WA at a local farm, Cloud Mountain Farm. They had probably about 80 different kinds of apple to taste plus different grapes, peaches, plums, blueberries, etc. I tried 6 or so different kinds of apples and found a few that I really liked: rubenstein and great alexander.

We (Aaron and I) bought 10 lbs of apple for $15 - one bag of rubensteins and one bag of "baking mix" apples. Coincidentally, I watched part of the Botany of Desire last night and learned a lot about apples.
- Did you know apples are originally from Khazakstan?
- If you plant a seed from an apple, it'll probably turn out way different from the apple you obtained the seed from
- Apples were not considered a health food until the early 1900's
In workout world, I ellipticalled today for 30 minutes and finished up my stregth training from yesterday. 2 days down, 11 to go in the "get buff" challenge.
