First week of Tacoma City Marathon training in the books. Everything feeling good and it is GREAT to be running regularly again! I still need to keep an eye out for my foot cause it's still being a tad twingy.
Sunday: 5 easy miles while in Arizona for RnR. Opted out of the half marathon and just ran around and waited for friends to come in.
Monday: 6 easy miles. Ran at lunch, up and over to Lake Washington and back. There are a couple nice hills on this route.
Tuesday: Swim 1700 yards. Bike 21 miles out around Mercer Island at lunch.
Wednesday: 5 mile tempo run. 1 mile warm up, 3 mile tempo (7:48, 7:38, 7:27), 1 mile cool down. I haven't ran like this is a really, really long time. Felt good to run fast! Finished up with some core, glute and hip exercises
Thursday: Swim 2000 yards. FlyWheel Power Hour. I haven't thought FlyWheel classes were super hard, until this class.
Friday: 5 easy miles. (8:32 pace)
Saturday: 10 miles in 1:28. First long run since CIM on December 2nd.
Weekly totals
Run: 31 miles
Bike: 58 miles (commute added)
Swim: 3,700 yards
14 weeks to go!
I am so jealous of all this Flywheel talk. I am going to see if I can take a class next time I am in town and then keep dreaming that we get one in Spokane!
